Audi Environmental Foundation supports the Preservation of Orchard Meadows in Neckarsulm
The orchards in Neckarsulm are being protected in the project “Preserving and shaping orchards together” (Steg:Geo). Audi Environmental Foundation, Heidelberg University of Applied Sciences, the city and trainees are thus promoting regional biodiversity.
Next Milestone Achieved: The URBANFILTER Sustainability Hub
With the establishment of the URBANFILTER SUSTAINABILITY HUB, a big step is being taken towards practice. The aim of the HUB is to gain further experience from the use of the various prototypes of the URBANFILTER and to make it available to users, such as municipalities. With an open-source approach, this exchange platform promotes the dissemination and optimization of innovative filter solutions for road drains.
Audi Environmental Foundation and Litro de Luz bring solar lighting to remote villages in Brazil
The Audi Environmental Foundation and Audi do Brasil have been supporting the NGO Litro de Luz Brasil since 2022, which aims to give people in remote areas without electricity access to solar lighting.
The bee research by we4bee and supported by the Audi Environmental Foundation has collected billions of individual data points so far. The first scientific findings are now available.
The “Horchboxes”: Smart technology recognizes bird calls
In collaboration with the LBV, Audi apprentices developed so-called “Horchboxes”. These AI-based recording devices for bird calls are intended to help document changes in biodiversity in various regions.
"Restore our Bays": Coastal restoration in the U.S.A.
The Audi Environmental Foundation recently launched the "Restore our Bays" initiative to support and promote coastal restoration in the United States of America. As part of this project, two non-profit organizations, Save The Bay and The Chesapeake Bay Foundation, are supported with financial support from the Audi Environmental Foundation and volunteer work by Audi of America employees.
The Audi Foundation for the Environment provided financial support for a study on the subject of rebuilding and protecting peatland, the "CO,-regio" feasibility study, which developed a catalog of measures designed to show farmers with land in peatland areas economically attractive, alternative uses.
