"Let's talk Greenovation" – 2nd life applications in the energy system of tomorrow

Clear the stage for green ideas and exciting projects around the topic of 2nd-life applications: Our event format "Let's talk Greenovation" went into the second round! The Audi Environmental Foundation welcomed a total of 80 guests to the foodlab in Hamburg's HafenCity. In addition to the many challenges we face when it comes to the energy transition, there was also intensive discussion about 2nd-life applications and in particular about batteries.

Among the invited experts were Prodip Chatterjee, co-founder of Nunam, a non-profit start-up that deals with the use of 2nd-life batteries, Torsten Schreiber, founder and CEO of Africa Greentec and Alexander Kupfer, expert for sustainable product concepts at AUDI AG. On the scientific side, our guests were Prof. Dr. Hans Schäfers, Acting Director CC4E Hamburg and Prof. Dr. Maximilian Fichtner, Director Helmholtz Institute Ulm. The evening was opened after the welcome by Dr. Rüdiger Recknagel with scientific impulses by Hans Schäfer. Subsequently, the discussions on the energy transition and the role of batteries started, followed by the presentation of 2nd-life projects with social impact in India and Africa.
